Courtyard by Marriott Reno Sparks

As a lifetime Platinum member, I've spent my share of evenings in Marriott properties. My daughter and I were on a driving trip from San Francisco to Montana, and decided this was a good first night stop after leaving the Bay Area around noon. But it was a bit of a "strange" stay for me. First, this is not in Sparks, NV. According to Google Maps, this hotel is about 17 miles from downtown Sparks. Instead, this hotel is in a strange area of data centers and a Tesla factory and so this hotel serves as a much-needed place for workers to spend time. I met folks at the hotel bar who were staying there for a couple of weeks or more, and do that on a regular basis. But there is literally almost nothing around for miles. Second, this is the first time in a very long time, and a lot of Marriott stays, where breakfast was not included. In fact there was no breakfast area with a traditional buffet. Instead, there is a full-service menu to order from for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We passed on dinner there and went to the highest rated of the four restaurants within walking distance, an Indian restaurant, but we did eat breakfast there. It was serviceable food but I would honestly rather have the normal Marriott brands buffet as I did the following two nights in Idaho Falls and Bozeman. The hotel itself, and the rooms in particular, were nice and clean. So if you need a place to stop because you can't drive anymore, you will sleep well but now you know what you're going to find.

I checked in two days ago and I check out in two more days. I got an even numbered room which faces the back and is very quiet. The service is, across the board, impeccable. Efran, the bartender, never forgot my name once told. He always greeted me with enthusiasm by name whenever I walked by, even if I was just heading to my room. The front desk personnel were always available with a smile as well. Great place to stay for travel when working in the area.

Very Nice hotel. The room was good and big but my fridge or AC was really noisy. And the shower is big and impressive, but the partial door gets water all over the floor right at the shower entrance. The bed was nice and firm, one of the better hotel beds I've slept on

Staff were friendly. The room was nice and clean. Unique layout. The bed faces the window, so your back is to the door. Was perfect for a night on our cross country roadtrip.

We enjoyed our stay here, and would definitely stay again. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean and spacious. The pool was very cold, which was refreshing on the hot day. The food offered for breakfast was very expensive, so we decided not to eat there.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The check-in was quick and easy, and Denise (I hope I got her name right---she has curly hair) was amazing. The last time I passed by, they were still building the location in the summer of 2024. It's done now and beautiful. The lobby is inviting with the bar and on-site restaurant. They have a very nice gym with free weights, elliptical, treadmill, and everything you need for a good workout--there's also an indoor pool, but I didn't go to check it out. The elevator is quick, and the rooms are immaculate. I had a king room, and it had ample space for me to work on my laptop, wifi, and space for my things. The closet is ample, but my favorite part was the bathroom. The shower was heavenly! The bathroom was well lit, so I could do my makeup in the morning, and it was quite spacious. I like the fact that the hotels have full sized bottles in the shower already instead of the travel sized bottles. Surprisingly, there were plenty of lights in the room. Sometimes, the rooms are too dark if you are trying to get work done. Even though they have a gym, I still did my morning workout in my room as I did not pack gym shoes. The room is spacious enough for a good calisthenics workout. I will definitely be back the next time I visit.

This hotel is brand new. The rooms are very clean. Friendly service. The bartender, Ephram, makes staying at the hotel even more special. He is always so friendly and provides great service! There is nothing around the hotel for other food options except for BK, a Chinese restaurant and a Mexican restaurant. The food always comes out good, but they really need a steak or chicken breast option. This place helps avoid the traffic on USA Parkway. Again, great hotel with a 5+ star bartender!

I had an amazing time here! I was here for my first business trip in a new city and I was really nervous but also excited. Everyone was so kind and welcoming! The room was beautiful and the housekeeping was on top at making sure I had fresh towels. Big shout out to two people the front desk Grace and Elibet! I enjoyed talking with them and feeling really great! Definitely will come back here just to see them!
